A foundation that endures
After graduating from Istanbul University Faculty of Law, Yavuz Selim Terziolu undertook professional training at Harvard University, broadening his perspective on law, business and institutional leadership.
Before establishing his legal practice he held senior roles within a commercial organisation, gaining first-hand experience of insurance operations, commercial risk, claims and regulatory matters — and a close understanding of the practical realities faced by businesses.
He founded the firm in Istanbul in 1999, bringing together legal discipline, commercial experience and a distinctly practical approach to counsel. Drawing on that background, he developed particular experience in insurance and maritime law, alongside a broader commercial and dispute-resolution practice.
That foundation continues to define the firm today: rigorous in its legal analysis, commercially aware and personally accountable.
